“Out of sight, out of mind” is what is usually said to describe what goes on when people haven’t heard from you in awhile. Havana’s ‘Entervention’ project has been in the making since 2008 and was finally completed this summer. We are sitting patiently as we wait for the right time to release this gem so please bear with us, you won’t be sorry. In the mean time, make sure to keep up with Havana on the following sites:

“Not Affected” was originally a track on a unreleased (but soon to be released) project from the super duo, Match’d Frantic (Havana and Bennie Herron). This track was produced by J*Davey producer extraordinaire, Brook D’Leau, and will be featured on Havana’s upcoming LP, Entervention. Check out Havana in all of her YouTube-ness as she previews the song…

Blast from the Past… Erykah Badu “Real Thang” (Skoolcraft Remix) produced by R. Alan H. in 2008 for a remix contest. Original song “Real Thang” was a bonus track from the New Amerykah LP…

Check out Havana live tonite on Earthbound Radio, Truskool Tuesdays show at 9pm (pacific time). She will be playing a few of her new cuts from her upcoming “Entervention” LP and talking about the project. Havana is just recovering from a lung procedure thats related to her HHT diagnosis, so its good to see her back out doing things! This show will also be broadcasting live on USTREAM, don’t miss it…

Last week Havana had a impromptu performance at 330 Ritch in San Francisco for Sake One‘s PST event. A few hundred people showed up and Havana rocked the set with Sake One, a live drummer and Trackademicks came thru on “Nitelife”. The “Entervention” album was pushed back to this summer, but will finally see the light of day this summer (August 25th). Check out the performance and link it on your sites, etc. Its time for Havana to really get that “Shine” she deserves…

Havana has 2 upcoming performances you won’t want to miss. She will be performing in promotion of her 2nd album, “Entervention”, which was expected to drop earlier this year but has been pushed back to a late summer release. The album which features production by upcoming producers like The Honor Roll (Trackademicks, 1.0.a.k), Brook D’Leau (J*Davey), GB (Sound in Color) and Waajeed (PPP), celebrates the coming to grips of Havana’s tumultuous upbringing, using music to express her experiences and family issues, but never forgetting to have fun along the way.
